Summer Learning Challenge

This year’s program will be quite a bit different! Instead of bringing your reading slips in for tickets you can log your pages on our new Summer Learning Website and pick out your prizes there too!

We will also have online programs and off-line challenges!

We hope to get started June 15th.

Storytime

Preschool Storytime on Wednesday mornings and Family Storytime Thursday evenings. Stories and crafts and activities to encourage literacy, motor skills, imagination, and socialization.

STEAM Saturdays

Science Tehnology Engineering Art & Mathmatics activities for school aged kids held throughout the school year. Kids work together to complete tasks, make projects, and explore. STEAM is also incorporated in the Summer Learning Challenge.

Block Parties

Free play with the library’s extensive block and toy collections. For kids 3 to 5 years old. We encourage cooperation, motor skills, imagination, and socialization.

An online literacy resource for grades pre-K – 3 that pairs classic video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from Scholastic to help build a love of reading.

Scholastic TrueFLIX

Learn about people, places, nature, history, and science from videos and eBooks on topics such as American Indians, Ancient Civilizations, Farm to Table, The Civil War, Continents, The Thirteen Colonies, U.S. Government, Disasters, Earth Science, Experiments, Extreme Science, Nature, and many more.
